SPUR Weekly Update!
Updated August 27, 2002Renovations are underway! Check back every Wednesday for an update on the construction along with progress photos! Previous weeks' photos and updates are included as part of the SPUR photo diary. The full diary will be available on CD at the end of the project.

What's happened this past week
This week pushed towards us moving furniture into the house and getting rooms ready for finishes. The kitchen walls were boarded, holes were patched, personal room walls were primed and their floors cleaned and waxed. Much of the Pit was wired, including Women's Head. Work was done on the railing for front stairs and the front porch railing was started.Work week started with actives moving into temporary housing and starting to move stuff into the house. The dorm is holding boxes and beds and anything small enought to fit up there. The second floor personal rooms are holding most of the furniture. Everything will filter down and be put in place as rooms are finished.
What's happening this coming week
Lots of finishing work will be occuring this week. Personal rooms will be painted and start getting lights and other electrical finishes. The front stairs and front porch railings should be completed. The ramp to the front door will be worked on. More plastering will be done. Tiling will start.Everything is pushing towards getting to the point of occupancy on September 6, though there will be finishing and exterior work to do after that date.
