The Campaign for 259

Epsilon Theta is embarking on its first fundraising campaign in nearly 40 years. The ambitious campaign is seeking to raise at least $300,000 to finance upgrades and renovations to the chapter house at 259 Saint Paul Street during the summer of 2002. Epsilon Theta needs the broad support of its alumni to undertake this extremely important renovation. It will enable us to restore 259 Saint Paul to its former grandeur and help ensure the future of Epsilon Theta Fraternity.

"Replacing the personal room furniture brings back memories of our help week. We had taken all the wooden drawers out of the armadilloes to clean them. Afterwards, it became obvious that although they looked identical, the drawers were not interchangable! After living with the mismatched drawers that resulted from our freshmen cleaning exuberance, we made sure that each piece of the new furniture was numbered and each drawer labelled to prevent future mixups." --Alice Leung, PC '89

"My pledge class spent a lot of time in the kitchen. Brazillian music and green cookies, mac and cheese from scratch, trying to do other people's waits, and lots of potwashes... We have a lot of memories there. But we always wanted improvements. Now it's happening." --Ingrid Ulbrich PC '94

"How could we forget waxing that parquet tile, and the never-ending chore of gluing pieces back down..."

"We're pleased to contribute towards this renovation, so that the house will not be living with a large mortgage. This means the Corporation can save a lot towards funding for future renovations. That's why our class is raising $25,000, with the goal that invested wisely, it will grow to cover the costs of future needs. It's never too early to plan for 2070."
