The kitchen was in sore need of modernization. In addition to replacing or refurbishing all the appliances in the kitchen, we increased the available space by removing the dividing wall and expanding the kitchen into the space that Cook's porch occupied. The kitchen was brought up to modern commercial kitchen code.
